lights are on…nobody’s home

November 30, 2011

whoever said there’s no such thing as a stupid question is wrong.  there is such a thing.  i get them a lot in my day job.  people feel the need to call my office to get my home phone number to call me to ask me a question that is answered in no fewer than 6 places online.

for instance.  a caller just took the time to punch 10 digits into the phone to call me and ask for the office fax number.  really?  you couldn’t use those digit dialers to google up “admissions office fax number.”  when i suggested she check our website, in case she had problems with the number i provided, i could hear the lightbulb go on.  a little zap of brain power.

at last!

whoever said there’s no such thing as a stupid question may be wrong.  but whoever said that people never cease to amaze me is one bright bulb.
